Fiancé Visa Letter for Immigration

A fiancé visa letter, or intended marriage support letter, is usually a letter from the celebrant confirming that the marriage paperwork has been started and that an intended marriage is being planned.

When We Can Usually Issue One

Usually, only after:

  • the NOIM has been properly prepared
  • it has been witnessed correctly
  • we have received it
  • and we have enough information to confirm the intended marriage details honestly

What the Letter Can Do

It may help show that:

  • you have taken real steps toward marriage
  • a celebrant is involved
  • an intended marriage is being planned in Australia

What the Letter Does Not Do

It does not:

  • guarantee a visa outcome
  • replace migration advice
  • override the normal marriage law requirements

If you need visa advice, go to the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent.
